Re-orient solids for 2D-CNC layouts

GH_Remapper_ReOrient_03.gh

Purpose: preparation of 2d-layout for cnc-cutting.

Select any number of solids in space.

- They will be layed out on the xy-plane in a grid (no nesting).

- Largest surface in each brep will be placed on the xy-plane

- Boolean option: sort by thickness or area

Hi Frank,

Everything is looking good on my end now. I just needed to get a bit more familiar with grasshopper. Thanks for the very useful script!

Hi Josh,

could you upload a sample file here, that might help to reproduce the error.

I am happy to have a look and help.

Cheers, Frank

Thanks for posting this Frank. It has the potential to be very useful for me. I'm not super familiar with grasshopper, so please excuse any overly simplistic questions. My impression of how to use the program is to select "multiple breps" by right-clicking on "reference solids to re-orient". I get some strange results when I do this- even with simple parts. See attached. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
