A  - FORMS FOLLOW ALGORITHMS (40 hours / 5 days intermediate level workshop)

B- FORMS FOLLOW MY ALGORITHMS (17 hours/ 2 days advanced level workshop)

The intermediate workshop (Forms Follow Algorithms) addresses the use of parametric strategies within the design process, exploring the use of Grasshopper in synergy with plug-ins, to obtain simulation of physical behavior, simulation of nature, and environmental analysis. The workshop main goal is learning how to generate forms as a result of algorithms, as techniques of form-finding algorithms, environmental, and natural (solar, wind, thermal and acoustic) analysis. Projects will be acquired new tools and simulation in order to build optimized parametric models that are able to adapt to different contextual conditions.

The advanced workshop (forms follow MY Algorithm) addresses the use of parametric strategies within the design process, exploring the use of Grasshopper in synergy with (VB) Scripting component of Visual Basic. The workshop main goal is to learn the way to generate and control parametric forms with scripting codes of VB scripts, and how to personalize the tool trough the addition of new features and functions that are not exist in grasshopper native components.
