Energy Modeling with Grasshopper (Proof-of-Concept)

Grasshopper users have all kinds of simulation tools at their disposal... however, I have yet to see an attempt at integrating energy simulation tools with Grasshopper... so here is a 'weekend warrior' study which links Grasshopper to EnergyPlus.

We have just about everything else: solar (DIVA, Geco), structures (Karamba, StructDraw), physics (Kangaroo).... What other simulation tools will we see in Grasshopper's future?

Hello, it has been awhile since I last developed these tools.  You may want to try out DIVA's EnergyPlus tools instead.  Their interface will be easier to get your head around than my rough collection of IDF creation components.

U a right in that, it could be nice to have an integrated energy calculator in grasshopper. But so fare is it possible to try out the components u have been doing ?

CFD and Acoustic simulation would be very helpful :) I heard Ecotect is very good with Acoustic as it was its initial purpose apparently...

This looks very nice !

And about the future I`would love to see something armed and dangerous for Digital Fabrication (unrolling unfolding nesting optimising)
