Converting a Surface into a Base Plane

Hello,

Do any of you know how to convert a freeform surface into a base plane?

I am trying to project a grid onto a surface.

A Grid component has a P-input, which stands for Base plane for grid, so I thought that if I could convert a surface into a base plane and then connect this into the Grid's P-input then the grid would be projected onto the surface.

If anyone knows how to convert a surface into a base plane or if you know a simpler and better way then please let me know.

Thank you

Marios

Hello. Converting files is a rather difficult process that takes time and nerves. If you want to learn how to quickly solve the issue of converting pdf files to jpg format, then you should take note of this useful site https://www.pdfplatform.com/convert-pdf-to-jpg. This is a reliable and very convenient free solution with a unique ability to convert files online.

There is project component to project curves onto a brep... but maybe this  is what your are looking:

You can use the grid points as uv coordinates to evaluate the target surface.
