algorithmic modeling for Rhino
BowlBuilder allows designers to create stadium bowls (spectator stands), taking into account common fabrication constraints and stadium guidelines. The plugin follows a workflow common to the design of soccar and olympic stadia, beginning with the sportsfield, then defining the stadium typology and cross section. The cross section is based on the adherence to a pre-defined minimum 'c-value' (the vertical distance from the spectator eye to where it intersects the sightline of the spectator directly behind). As is common in stadium design, BowlBuilder applies the same cross section throughout the stadium.
The novelty of BowlBuilder is that its analysis tab allows to evaluate and visualise bowl designs according various viewing metrics other than c-values, including the viewers' proximities to the touch line, field centre and opposite field corner, as well as their horizontal and vertical fields of view and viewing angles.

Seeing the sample of different objects that are created with the help of Bowlbuilder has made me interested in purchasing this tool. One needs to buy speech for better presentation in the class. I would use this appealing tool to create stadium bowls.
Hi, I found your tool very helfpul. I' m trying now to build a bowl on an oval shape but something goes wrong. the shape itself comes out weird. Do you know what it can be?
Thanks
