Cloth preference tends to be a totally non-public one, however, Ingram explains that it's the style and silhouette of the robe so that will dictate the path. It's two dimensional script that I had been working on that involves creation of different patterns and then joining them by 'cuts'. It's based of an African tribe called "Shoowa Kuba". I will post more examples of the line script soon...
