“The Game of Life” in Grasshopper.
There is a Timer which updates the cellular automata. In result the system of cells evolves. Each cell is visualized as a subsurface on a specified parent surface.

We've used custom C# components which do the job.

Hi Folks,
I've been having some problems with a valid closed polysurface that has all surface normals oriented correctly in Rhino (used the Direction command). However, when I work with it in Grasshopper, it appears that half of the surfaces are now flipped (normals now pointing to the inside of the polysurface). I've tried to use a guide surface, I tried offsetting points along the normal to test for inclusion and then flip. I've even tried to flip normals manually by mutliplying…

Few months ago me and
Alessio Erioli have been involved as external design consultants by Corrado Tibaldi of DuPont Building Innovations, to design a new serie of Corian 3d panels inspired to the theories of famous mathematicians and from mathematical functions. The results are six panels: Fibonacci, Fourier, Gauss, Moiré, Phyllotaxis, Voronoi. These panels are an exploration of mathematical…
