Hey I am a beginner and I have two questions:
1.- I want to change de order of the numbers in a polyline I have devided in order to be easier to relate them for the next step in my process.
2.- I want to creat a polyline from those conected points (A1,B1,C1,D1)
Thanks a lot.

Hey all -
While working on a project I came upon the need to do some unit conversion within GH, so I decided to write a script to handle this. I've attached it as a user object. It takes two strings, defining the input and output unit systems, in the form of "mm" or "in^2" or "yd^3" etc. It will then output the necessary conversion factor. It also optionally accepts a list of values, and will convert them for you if they are present.
A word of caution: I…

Hi! I'd like to show the pavillon system that we developed and calculated with geometry's ssi tool and sofistik as part of our master thesis. In the video the fomfinding process and the connection between grasshopper and sofistik is explained. We then exported the cutting areas and build a mock-up in the scale 1:2 of one column.

In response to the overwhelming interest and success of last month’s workshop, modeLab will conduct one last Parametric Design Workshop this summer. The workshop will include a newly redeveloped curriculum and series of supporting lectures as a means to engage both the conceptual, as well as technical domains of applied parametric design.
Emphasis will be…

I have been playing with recording the slider activity and fitness values as Galapagos runs a solution. The parameter changes are recorded using the 'record' component and then sent to a MySQL table.
It is then possible to query the database and easily investigate the entire range of solutions offered by the evolutionary solver.
For example, I can search for all genomes with a fitness > x... or all genomes with a gene = y. Or I can display multiple…

We have been working on a method of interacting with the Grasshopper Canvas with intuitive, multi-touch gestures registered by the RGBD camera on the Microsoft Kinect. The Kinect depth resolution is enough to detect touch events on an arbitrary surface, so we've recreated a giant canvas using a projector, a mirror, and a pane of tinted glass. So far, we've managed to…

Students of the Detmolder Schule (www.detmolderschule.de) have completed just recently the experimental pavilion Sparkler on the Campus Emilie. The crystal-shaped structure is a three-dimensional interpretation of Leonardo Da Vinci’s, „Vitruvian Man“, showing a man bound within a square and a circle. Based on a…

Well... as part of learning is also showing and discussing, I have uploaded this chunk of code that actually works.
It came out from the idea of developing an example where the theoretical capabilities of programming with Visual Studio/SharpDevelop over the VB/C# IDE provided in GH would become somewhat more obvious.
However, in this very example the result is quite the opposite, as the imported references (one thing that is not possible to do using the VB component), are not…
