Diagrid Openings

Hello,

I found this diagrid surface definition here in Grasshopper3D.com, but sadly, the very definition was never posted along with the image.

So, I am asking any of you here, do you know how to produce this very definition? Note that the diagrid pattern is produced from a freeform surface, also, the openings of the diagrids are…

Converting a Surface into a Base Plane

Hello,

Do any of you know how to convert a freeform surface into a base plane?

I am trying to project a grid onto a surface.

A Grid component has a P-input, which stands for Base plane for grid, so I thought that if I could convert a surface into a base plane and then connect this into the Grid's P-input then the grid would be projected onto the surface.

If anyone knows how to convert a surface into a base plane or if you know a simpler and…

Rhino CPlane in Wrong Position

Hey,

By now, I am sure you've noticed that I am a novice and very new to Rhino and Grasshopper - three blog posts already!

Anyway, I've got this problem which I really cannot seem to solve. I attended the Intro to Grasshopper Webinar with David Rutten on Thursday 9th of December. There, he showed an example of how to project section planes into a building. Now, I am trying to do the exact same thing.

In his case, one of the corner of his building touched…

Rhino Rendering Goes Wrong

Hey,

I know this is a website dedicated to Grasshopper, but since Grasshopper and Rhino are so closely tied, I thought of posting for help with Rhino here.

Alright, I have a site model of an area, and I am trying to render it very simple and basic, namely all the geometry being greyish-white and some light projected to create…

Merge two different Geometries

Hey y'all,

I am new to Grasshopper and struggling with it, but loving it though, because it can do so many cool things, and I am eager to learn the software.

I am trying to make a long cylinder where one end is made up of a square and the other end is made up of a triangle, and these two merge gradually. For a clearer description of my enquiry, please se image :)

Thank you

Marios…
