Updated Grass-Cam Overall File

Most recent file uploaded. Still needs UI cleanup, 90 degree rotated paralell finishing, and a horizontal roughing script.

13.09.25 GRASS CAM Test Piece Milled

Attached is the grasshopper definition, rhino model, gcode, and image.  The swarf milling is substantially faster than rhinocam as a result of lower resolution.  Lower res = less acceleration/deceleration motion between G01 commands.  Users must still open the curve offset cluster to double check inside/outside curve offsetting.  …

13.09.24 GRASS CAM Overall Program

This script combines:

- Parallel Surfacing

- Curve Profiling

- Point Defined Hole Tap Drilling

into one overall script with simplified and common slider inputs.  Individual tasks are clustered for editability, and can be connected/disconnected from the final G-Code Panel to make smaller separate milling operations or one cumulative one.

The results have been tested in NCsim.  To be milled in blue foam tomorrow.  Plunge Roughing not yet…

13.09.24 GRASSHOPPER CNC Paralell Surfacing Script

Attached is a script for tool radius compensated surface milling.  The script:

- projects a grid of tool radii onto the surface

- determines the highest point of each radius and flattens the radius to that height

- interpolates parallel curves from the center points of the tool radii

- Segments those curves at user defined intervals

- writes g-code to move the cutter over those lines as a series of G01 commands.

Known Issue: when only a…

13.09.23 Grasshopper Driven CNC Plunge Roughing Script

This script uses a point grid and projected circles of tool-bit radius to determine a series of points on a surface.  Those points are formatted in G-Code for copy/paste to a text .nc file.  The goal of projecting the tool radius is cutter compensation.
