I made a simple component that creates a square pipe surface around a rail curve. It doesn't work with a closed curve though. morph[]Tools works with version 0.6.0059 and is a freely distributable package licensed under Creative Commons License.
This urbanism approach was developed using grasshopper. This technique can use any surface and an attractor point to generate a series of towers and courtyards. The technique subdivides the surface and measures the distance between the centre-points and the attractor point. Surfaces nearer the attractor will produce a tower, whilst surfaces further away will produce a courtyard. This technique investigates housing typologies in Beijing and attempts to explore the relationship between modern… Continue
The experiment investigates generative processes for Isopotential Maps.
Considering a surface as input (it will be assumed as basic field) and a series of "n" attractors the GH definition will individuate a series of curves which describe the field of forces operating on the area.
The definition, developed in cooperation with Andrea Graziano, allows to manipulate "n" attractors as a sort of electric charges. You can decide the charge's value (positive or negative) and… Continue
In terms of 'scripting' programs used, processing seems to be popular for these types of visualizations. But I think grasshopper would be a more accurate and methodological process of achieving these types of images?!
modeLab is pleased to announce it will be conducting a Parametric Design Workshop in New York City, February 27th/28th, 2010. Please find further information below. Registration can be done at the follow link. We hope to see you next month.
Teach, learn and share different methods of fabrication for industrial designers, architects, and engineers where Rhinoceros is involved in any cycle of the manufacturing process.
This RhinoFabLab community is a great place for sharing information about hardware used to fabricate your ideas, your digital models and your Grasshopper definitions.
RhinoFabLab is open to everyone and welcomes any Rhinoceros compatible program that helps you accomplish your… Continue

Once completed it will be the largest freeform gridshell in the world.
Most of the roof structure has been worked out using Grasshopper.
Thanks a lot to everyone who helped on this… Continue
