where are the sound effects?
@Petras and Angel: It's a 3d grid of points with a vector assigned to each of them by a GH Fields composed of a couple of point charges. There is an invisible mesh rotating around this vector field and each point looks for mesh/ray intersection. The hit/miss boolean value decides which points to leave.
