Ahh ok, that makes sense. I just checked their website, were you aware that you are a 'trend-setter!' congratulations.
Did you work with them for the lamps? Or did this come from them being impressed by what you were doing the first time round?
@ Nick: I am trying to have a prototype ready for the EuroMold in December. I am working together with Voxeljet on this one.
@ Anirudh: the workflow is pretty much strait forward: point cloud that gets denser towards the top -> create a 3d voronoi -> create a skeletal mesh -> do some subdivision with weaverbird
Since this is going to be a stand-up table I wanted to have a very dense structure on the top so that I put something on the table top.
i like this a lot, can you describe the workflow that led you to this outcome? Also were there some intentions behind the densities described in this drawing? (IE, what is the logic of having the density increase as you move vertically?)

Really stunning structure Wieland! Are you going to print this like your lamps? Or might it be ever so slightly expensive?
