algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Comment
lol thanks Manuel! Your algorithm is way faster. Also didn't know there was a Hoopsnake album...
Still the problem I had when dealing with Hoopsnake was that since GH and Rhino only make use of one CPU core and with Hoopsnake one can rapidly create complicated geometries, so I found it a bit frustating.
They came from a galaxy, far, far away :)
Looks like Goa'uld ships taken over by replicators.
Yes, it's my first Hoopsnake project.
I will definitively check you definition in following few days, as it looks interesting.
I do not know what to say about efficiency, as your knowledge seems to be far greater than mine. You probably know this but, maybe you can try to unplug all Panels, and Param viewers. Also try using "integer" or "number" parameters instead of Panels when number input are required.
Hide everything except final iteration shape geometry.
edit:
Well it seems you did all of that, so my upper advice is pointless.
Nice did you use Hoopsnake? I also did it a month ago, but I didn't render it in a such a cool scene! I also did Mengers Cube, but I think I wrote an extremely inefficient definition because I can't do more than 3 recursions. I tried simplifying the algorithm but I finally gave up. Check it out if you want.
