it's milled in high density tooling board and we use coastal enterprises as our supplier. They make a nice product that's very easy to machine and densities over 20lb are best for holding sharp destails. The dimensions are about 36"x34"x3". It's done on a 3 axis cnc and code is generated for both sides of the piece. It uses the image sampler to move points and then uses surface from points to create a heightfield.

It is milled, no? And what was the material you used? What were the dimensions?
