algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Try to use Grasshopper Component to make a Pixel function. Use the "Brep/Plan" or "Mesh/Plan" intersection to contour the outlines of the volume. Transfer the contour outlines to the surfaces. Use the "Surface/Curve" intersection to get the grid line. The last thing is to use the Grid lines to populate the rectangle plans and extrude them up.

Hi, I was trying to figure out the script on your website but there seems to be an error with the second boundary function. Did you have to edit it after that version?
Thanks!
Yes, it is, but I will suggest you to understand the logic of the component, it should be easily to find a way to also fit with plain and surface. cheers.
Hi Jia-Rey.
Could you please answer a doubt for me? why does the definition fail for a plain surface? does it always have to be a 3d object?
Regards,
Aj
Great, figured the mesh and the geometry options. Thanks
Ok, I'm going to try something with Tspline and use the mesh component to generate the pixels. Thank you.
Also, the project on images (P11) is it possible to transfer the 3d extrusions into rhino? I'm interested in pixelation and something like spaces that can have pixelated terrain.
Thanks you.
No problem.
Usually mesh is much more easily to be created as a smoothness organic form (In Rhino, you can try with T-Spline). What I did here is just separating the basic geometric references so that you can apply any geometry you want (Mesh or B-Rep) to get the pixelated result. Cheers.
Hello, Thanks again for the prompt reply.
I have a question. Whats the use of the component "mesh" as deleting it has no effect on the definition nor the output. Kindly advice.
I fixed it, now it works fine. It's still the issue of "Cross-Reference" which I stated in the definition of my blog(but at that time, there's no "cross-reference" component.)
Please check the fixed-version here:

I would recommend you to get the basic knowledge first, so then you can do whatever you want.
Good luck.
Best
Hello,
I have tried to define the settings for the pixilation using the example given in the link for your portfolio. I'm attaching the files. Again I think there are some issue due to which the object fails to pixelate. Please advice and kindly send me your definitions. Thanks very much for your time, effort and kindness. Trying to create this definition. Hope it comes through and I have definition with which I can create any object into a pixelated form.
Really appreciate you being so considerate. Thank you.
