yes it is a Grasshopper modeling ,i just draw curves in Rhino ,                                           define it in in Grasshopper,use loft,model formed.

And about the similarity between the form and dunes,i think it is true ,but when i was creating the form i didn't mean it ,i was thinking about communication waves .
