Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This model is based on the development of a geodesic dome. I'm in the process of writing a complete tutorial for the definition.

Here's a much simpler definition using Weaverbird's icosahedron and split polygons components:

For geodesic lovers, here is the updated version for GH 0.9.x:

Chris, thank you for the definition and tutorial. It makes my life easier when dealing with geodesic dome!

I've modified the definition so it works in GH 0.7.x: http://www.box.net/shared/f6s7j9nike

Hi Chris,
awesome tutorial, though i can't get your uploaded definition to work.. instead of outputting 48 points, the vbGeodesic component displays an error; Name 'sqrt' is not declared. (line 128)
I tried changing it with capitals and adding multiplication marks, but i cant get it to work.
Can you (or anyone else) help me out here?

Thanks

Is there a definition of this geodesic system which can be applied to a surface?

Geodesic 4.2...
Using parts of Chris Mealing definition.
However, I divided arcs instead of the flat triangle...
Not sure if this helps reducing variability of parts dimensions.

Yet another geodesic (very crude, work in slow progress)...

Also a newby, having problems with the VBA... it returns a nil list of points. Any hints ?
