algorithmic modeling for Rhino
The aluminium pavilion was designed and constructed for the Digital Design Production course given at the EPFL by Paul Ehret and Philipp Eversmann.
The pavilion visual and technical design has all been done under grasshopper. The pieces have cut out of planar aluminium sheets with the help of a waterjet and have been folded in order to obtain their final aspect. Each wall consists of 70 differnt pieces which have been assembled together with an unique joint.

Amazing project! Are the aluminium plates folded by the Robofold technology? It looks pretty awesome, I really like those breathtaking patterns. I would be really interested in the structure of the joints which are connecting the plates together, I can't picture myself how it could be cunstructed.
