algorithmic modeling for Rhino
The creation of the first one of its kind on the local "design market", this 8 meters high installation, became possible by using contemporary digital design approach, called minimal surface relaxation. The material - lightweight fabric, weights only just about 30 kg. The only rigid structural elements, the steel rings, 3 and 4 meters in diameter form the boundaries of the shape, which is stretched between them, creating an extraordinary visual experience for the visitors.
The shape is basically a replica of original Green Void by l-a-v-a

The software used in design workflow: Rhino, Grasshopper, Kangaroo, 3ds Max, Lamina design.
Fair enough to say, this design would not exist without these great software giants, but special credits go to Lamina design)

Hey Artyom, nice work, I am trying to test similar ideas at the moment, and I get the point to unfold the 'trumpet' using the program called Unfold 3D, however, my mesh is too messy to work with, and my result isn't precise enough to make a model. Would you mind give me a hint on how you simplified mesh and Unfold it in Lamina?
Here is the link of my OBJ file-https://www.dropbox.com/s/4qvsnk31s6o268j/Trumpet%20Unfold.obj
