Thanks again, unfortunately we did not write a paper on it. I was considering it but got consumed by other work soon enough. There is a very brief description written by my partner Brian Hoffer on the MIT Architecture website but it doesn't go into a ton of depth about the process.

Really nice work. I would have liked come and see if it wasn't so far away (from me). If you have or will be doing any paper work or small presentation on it, I would love to see it. Thanks Rasmus. Yes, the corners are based on the packing of conical extrusions and each is a little different. The number of kerf cuts at each corner was calculated to make the cuts close in on themselves, regaining some of the lost strength. That's why you see that nice teardrop shape in most of them. If you're referring to some sort of digital fatigue simulation, no, it just took a lot of testing and mockups.

Nice work. Looks good. Did you simulate anything in regards with the bending of the corners?
