algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Joaquim
Lovely work !
Unable to get the twirl effect in the z-axis ! Image attached below.
Thanks
got it, thanks!
Hi Apurv,
Nudibranch has an optio where the range of the twirl can be confined in a specific radius.
Use the MIN/Max input to toggle this behaviour.
Best,
M.
hey Guys,
Great stuff here!
I was just wondering if there is a way to know how "twirl" (which i think is a grasshopper user object) was made? I am getting stuck there. Nudibranch distorts the square, whereas looks like, this definition keeps the perimeter in tight. any help will be appreciated!!
Attach your file to I have a look.
i try to make twirl base on your algoritm.but this not move on z axis...and creat on 2d.
pls help me.tnx
@Daniel: Cool resources. I especially like the image displaying the deformation of a grid, with and without iteration, on the second link.
Thanks for the post.
This is reminding me - I went through a similar process of comparing linear and iterative methods for pulling and twirling points with attractors - starting out with this 'magnetic displacement' definition, then later making an iterative version 'jellyfish'. In my blog posts from back then I described a bit the differences between them.
That was 4 and a half years ago (so not sure if those scripts and definitions will still work!), and the start of the long and exciting journey through iterative physical methods that has lead to what Kangaroo is now.
