Really cool bar! I like how the toolpaths become a feature rather than using a tiny stopover distance.

Thanks Bret. Definitely not the answer I expected; I was thinking more along the lines of cold rolling with Grasshopper designed forms. I need to spend more time in bars to acquaint myself with modern technology...

Hi Ethan this was milled from 5 individual aluminum blocks, each approximately 3 foot long. I created the toolpath curves in Grasshopper as one complete set for the entire bar, then divided them into sections -- this makes the toolpaths match across the different pieces. The seamless appearance is achieved through an ultra precise milling setup and great install guys.
