Hi Dongyun,
Following links can be helpful to you understand GSA.

You if you have further questions ..let me know
Hi. Ahmed Abbas
Diagram which can represent your work.
I want to the status of this structure is represented by the color .
But I don't know how to do.
Could you explain to me that what is GSA?
There is a limit to have only the word GSA search.
thanks
Thanks.
And yes in GSA you cannot change the form. It takes the fix geometry but I think there is a plugin, which connects GSA with grasshopper. So in that case you can see constantly what form has influence in GSA optimization.
Initially I imported several forms to GSA for understanding differences, but on a later stage I could not change the form drastically because of very strict requirements of the stadium design. So only thing that I was changing was the height of Catenary arch. The images, which I have uploaded, are for the final form explored with different sizes of space frames and pipe diameter in GSA.
Thank you for the reply.
But you already got the fixed geometry imported from Grasshopper, right?
No additional geometry changes, other than material choice and cross-section optimization were made in GSA?
Or am I wrong?
The shape, form and material also have a large influence in optimization apart from dimensioning. In this particular case, performance was getting better when making form smoother, avoiding large flat surfaces and using catenary arch on sides.
What influence did GSA have on the form optimization (apart from dimensioning the truss members)?
Thanks, at first I created geometry and space frames using grasshopper and later I used GSA suite based on finite element method for analysis.
Nice.
What application did you use for the structural analysis?
