Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This competition provided a unique opportunity for me to express my reflections of parametric modeling in combination with paper folding into practice.

The museum building is designed as a lightweight self-supporting superstructure with all of the structural elements carefully evaluated according to their individual orientation to the position of the sun. The outer shell of the building filters the direct sunlight and injects the diffuse daylight into the monochrome interior. It consists of a mosaic of alternating matte opaque white triangular convex steel shells and shiny white translucent hollow glass shells. It creates a dynamic and curly space inside the museum of variable width and slope of walls.

The thumbnail looked like it had a sheep in it... Now I feel sheep-deprived.
