I created the form using simple 3d bezier curves in rhino and lofted them. I think I used 5 curves for this shape... In grasshopper I merely intersected the shape (srf) with vertical planes and picked the resulting curves. To make them more hair- like I used a Perlin noise on them, but only on a small range. So I got the curves and extruded them.
