You can try another way.

1.Construct grid Points(using 2 range+graph mapper)
2.Mesh from points
3.Mesh extrusion using Meshplus plugin (M+ pole)+ Curve attractor value for gradation
4.Mesh smoothing using Weaverbird plugin
