Is it possible to see explanations somwehre about the agglomerative Clustering component?  Is it correct it is  an alternative  to the kmeans algorythm?

What do you mean? The lines are just MetaBall the representing the different clusters, what is interesting is finding the clusters. Which is done via: agglomerative Clustering (to start with: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierarchical_clustering)

Here it is shown in 2D but it works in n-D. I started implementing (current state: naive) it for the purpose of graph matching...
