Frosting

Girlfriend wanted to understand how the amount of frosting would change for the same amount of dough in taller vs. shallower cake forms. We decided to graph it.

I suspect there's going to be chocolate cake in my near future...

Maths are more fun and visual with GH

The classic is equation

So the minimum of topping is for a cylinder of Radius = Height

Volume = Pi * r^3 => R = 6.83 

S = 3 PI R² = 439 ...
