Hey Sebastian,

If you open the example file provided by mosquito called SonicTwitterRecord.gh, you can record Tweets over the time period that you have definition running. For this project, I started recording in the morning of the marathon and stopped in the evening.

This technique is limiting because you can't gather Twitter data retroactively. Also, your computer can crash partway through and then you'll lose all of the data you haven't saved up until that point. I lost several hours in the evening (from 9-midnight) that I wanted to record. That's what 45,000 tweets will do (only 955 of them were geolocated though).

There's definitely better to get Tweets if you know python and can access the twitter API. I don't so I'm stuck using this method. CartoDB also has a new Twitter function that goes 2 months back but its quite expensive.

Let me know how your project turns out or if you have any additional questions. Or if you find a better method.

i just saw, that there's a limitation of 100 results. How did you manage to get more than 100 tweets for your analysis. A little hint would be very nice.
