algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Comment
yeah, I supuce. Javier Veilhan not a well known artist. Generally uses parametric modeling techniques and digital manufacturing (grasshopper and rhino nest). In 2002 (the year that produced these series of sculptures) 3d scanner techniques of digital fabrication and were not well known by most people. And for that reason was very successful. Now almost anyone can model and construct these pieces. It's just a matter of having the tools. What kind of scanner you used to make your model? laser?
Thx Alejandro, I was not aware of Xavier Veilhan work. Not sure if he uses the same technique. I believe a talented 3d sculptor does not require to 3d scan in the first place.
wonderful, if I'm not mistaken is the same technique used by javier veilhan, is not it?
wow!
Full body 3d scan reduced down to 2000 faces and colored with MeshPaint.
