Sure, my IFC importer is still very much work in progress. I'm still to determine a lot of the shape representations that I will (or won't be able) to generate in Revit.
To this aspect, I am busy adding a bunch of components that will work in a manner more consistent with the Revit Family approach. I do welcome suggestions or samples of models that don't work (including generated by other software), I'll take a look at the two you've suggested.
Hi Jon,
Does it mean I should install all the plugins on that page?
The ifc file I imported into revit is downloaded from your website ,it shows that error information. After that I tried some orther settings.Parts of model can be imported in revit and all the levels overlap together. Here is my IFC file.https://rapidshare.com/files/2917982623/111.ifc
Hi Claudemit,
The native revit IFC importer is not developed yet for IFC4 (also referred to as IFC2x4).
You need to install my revit addon from http://www.geometrygym.com/downloads which should then be accessible from the AddIns menu - External Tools in the Ribbon.
I just tried myself ensuring the rhino document unit was millimetres, and then importing the IFC file which was an exact overlay. Can you email me the generated IFC file so I can check?
Hi Jon,
I tried this example, meet some problems.I have made the Rhino Document's Unit be millimetres ,but when I import the IFC file which I just baked, the model imported in seems to be quite smaller than that shows in grasshopper. When I open the ifc file in revit,it shows like thisI get an error report and find nothing in revit.Could you tell me what's wrong with it?
well
