good job!I wanna work on something similar. I want to design a plan in grasshopper then optimize it. but I have lots of problems in the definition. would you please share me the definition or give me something that can help me in that?
thank you so much
Bryce I am doing an study on something similar. do you think you could share this definition with me? I am kind of new to galapagos!
or maybe give me tips how you did it!
thank you so much
nice job! but is there any way to refine the final iterations cause it s interessant to use galapagos for plan configuration solver but i dont think that it produced a better space quality though.
Most floor plan generators begin with a floor footprint and pack the program into the footprint. This can be thought of like pouring cubes into a box. The cubes represent the program and the box represents the footprint. In this scenario the final form is predetermined, the cubes will make the shape of the box.
I started my project by exploring a different method. Each room is independent and relates to the other elements. This can be thought of as pouring those cubes onto the top of a table. As a result the cubes combine to produce the footprint.
Thank you for the reply Bryce.
Can you just clear this up a bit more:
"The floor plan generations I have seen in the past are based on a boundary that then uses a packing system to solve for plans"
So in comparison to those systems, yours is different?
wow!
grasshopper can actually find different solutions for the floor plans??? really ???
