Inner subdivision polygone

Hi everyone,

My question is quite simple. Would it be possible to use the Catmull Clark subdivision to an Inner polygone only i.e - having an subdivided hole within a rigid rectangle. Using Loop - Split Inner Polygone doesn't actually subdivide as much as it would with Catmull Clark.
