algorithmic modeling for Rhino
there was an old article with a Rhino script enabling export of Grasshopper data into Solid Works for analysis (and therefor CFD analysis too). I can not find it, but they eventually quit developing the script, and it was not officially published, if I recall it correctly.
But it is possible to get the CFD analysis through Ecotect:

Also Daniel Davis, made a simple C script which enables some very basic CFD flow:
thanks djordje.
Nice information. maybe might update that ecotect engine, i tried some things before also.
I might try to ask for that C script by daniel davis
What for do you need a cfd software connected to Grasshopper/Rhino?
both naval architecture and building.
Academic and professional purposes
I don't know of one.
I have been looking into something though that might work, but it would need a lot of development. Not sure if the time and money is available for such a R&D project at the moment though.
Might be something "we" (TUNA) can work on?
It would appear as though something is on its way!
EDIT: although the date in the post was 26/10/2010 so don't hold your breath. this is what appeared on the GH forum http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/stable-solver?xg_source=activity
really nice and daring idea.
Danny. Sorry for late response. Right now spending some time out.
Let's talk soon
Hi Danny
Still thinking on working on a CFD workflow for GH. I am really interested, this guys from thispointon don't seem to be working on that plugin since long ago though. I already had a look before also.
If you have any idea or availability and want to work on let me know.
Sorry fore such a late answer. I have been quite busy.
best regards
