algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello everyone, hope you're all good!
I'm very new to the software.I have been trying to recreate the grid tearing effect I found on one of Michael's old videos (image attached). As it has no audio I have been watching the video slowly and trying to follow it - I've installed weaverbird in order to do it. However, there are some components which I simply cannot work out, maybe because it's quite an old video. I have searched the web for an explanation of this particular example, and only found another blog post which was unfortunately too old and is now a broken link. I gathered that due to pufferfish's capability and it being Michael's video this would be a good place to ask.
Would anyone be able to help in trying to achieve this? If the script already exists that would be obviously fantastic and greatly appreciated. But a tutorial or instructions of some sort would be helpful too. It'd be better if any tutorials had voiceovers or not be in code as I have dyscalculia (I know, why am I on grasshopper! but the component icons make computational design more accessible). However, I just want to achieve this grid tear effect but using my own grid and curves so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time :)
