Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I'm having real trouble to work with the command "morph 3d mean".

No matter what I do I keep getting the error "Failed to morph to grid"

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, I think I had success with it in the past, in previous version of GH or PT.

Do any of you have experience with the command?

thanks in advance..

Hi Eran,

Can you share a file or example to show what is not working?

Hi Rajaa,

Attached, are files of the trials.

In general, the purpose is to transform unit A to unit B in a gradient kind of way (meanSurface) over variable distances.

I succeeded doing it in regular PT (the bodies in grey) but in GH-PT it fails.

The definition is a bit complex, kinda got lost inside it. I even tried going back to rhino for the regular PT but when I try to bake the grid or the surface, I keep getting lots of surfaces or lots of grids.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Eran,

The problem is that you subdivided your surface to many smaller ones, then grid each of the small ones. That created so many grids.

Attached is a cleaned up solution. Let me know if it works for you.

Hi Rajaa,

Sorry for the late response. work+holidays.

Thank you so much! Your solution help a lot.

I was stuck with this problem for almost a month.

I wasn't familiar with the command Surface Parameter. It's brilliant.
