imposing hard constraint to octopus by a boolean

I want minimize weight and deflection of a structure, I connected value of deflection and weight and a boolean directly to octopus as objectives but I have some problem about boolean parameter, the model in both true and false conditions generates. (as you see in the attachment), is it normal? I think the false values should be thrown away. 
And if it isn't ok what should I do?
