Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

i am trying to make a multiple-objective optimization with Octopus and i have a basic question: when the optimization is completed i have a distribution of genes in the axis (like in the example that i attached on this post) but i do not understand how to find the most optimized solution to reinstate in grasshopper. Someone can give me some advice?

Thanks

Hi Angelo,

if you optimize towards multiple conflicting goals, in practically all cases there is no single best solution. There are trade-offs which all are optimized but negotiate the goals in different weightings.

See topics like Pareto-Optimization, Pareto-Principle, or Pareto-Front for more.

Thank you for the answer, i will see also the other topics.
