Diamond populate bug?

I am trying to divide a surface(the green one in the img) into diamond panels but instead of dividing it, its dividing a bigger surface.What am i doing wrong?

P.S. I think its something about the trimmed surfaces.

It appears as if you projected a curve onto the surface GH is showing in red, then trimmed to make the surface shown in green. LunchBox components do not work on trimmed surfaces.

Your best bet would be to re-build the surface you want using the loft command.
