Honeybee Can't Locate Energy Plus and Open Studio`

I'm going to follow the logic in this thread and see where i get:

attached is my honeybee panel.

I also see that my energyplus is a 8-7 version while honeybee stops supporting at 8-6

I've tried both Energy + and Openstudio in C:\... and C:\ProgramFiles\... with no luck.

Are you changing the default installation folder? For EnergyPlus you need to install an older version.

I tried multiple ways, I think in a 2014 video you suggested installing at c:\openstudio or c:\energyplus.

To uninstall I am using my add/remove program function in windows. Is that enough or are there more files to clean before reinstall?

Ok. So I had to go back in versions to get these tools running.

For OpenStudio I started at version 2.1 and ended up with 1.2

For EnergyPlus I started at version 8-7 and ended up with 8-2

Anyone working with newer versions?

Based on the image honeybee is using EP 8-5. Back to OpenStudio. If you want to use OpenStudio 2 you have to update your installation and sync with GitHub. The version on Food4Rhino doesn't support OpenStudio 2.X.

Sorry for not being clear. I was talking about the latest legacy version: https://github.com/mostaphaRoudsari/honeybee

You can use Honeybee and Ladybug components to update but unless you really need to I don't suggest you to do so. Especially now that you're getting started with Honeybee and most of the example files on Hydra are in sync with the latest stable version which you can download from Food4Rhino.

Dear Mr Mostapha, I have the same problem with Openstudio.

Momently I have installed Radiance 5.0.a.8, DaySim 4.0 and OpenStudio 1.12.

I also tried with OS 1.14 but don't work.

Please check the attachments.

Update....

I did not install EP, because in the instructions was said it was included in the OS 1.12 package.

Same problem after the installation of Energy Plus 8.5.0. (Attachment 03).
