EnergyPlus related issue.

Hello everyone?

First of all, thank you for your amazing plugin.
I am learning it from your discussion forums and some video tutorials you've made.

However its little bit hard to install all the necessary programs go together with.

I have a Ladybug ver 0.0.58 and Honeybee ver 0.0.55.
Also installed Energy Plus V8-2-7 in the directory of C:\

The issue is

1 : Honeybee cannot find EnergyPlusV8-1-0. And the error message is like down below.

Honeybee cannot find EnergyPlusV8-1-0 folder on your system.

Make sure you have EnergyPlusV8-1-0 installed on your system.
You won't be able to run energy simulations without EnergyPlus.
A good place to install EnergyPlus is c:\EnergyPlusV8-1-0

Should i have to downgrade my energy plus?

Or new version of HB and LB works with EnergyPlusV8-2-7? if so, how to upgrade LB and HB. I download the new gha files and replace it?

2 : Honeybee_Masses2zones (mass2zone) Has error. I guess its because of Energyplus
or maybe not.

The error message is :
Solution exception:honeybee_OpenStudioStandardsFile

I hope you'll help me on these issues.

Honeybee currently only supports E+ v8.1. Normally, we try to keep everything up-to-date with the DoE but, between 8.1 and 8.2, EnergyPlus underwent an enormous translation from the original FORTRAN language it was written in to C. In the end, this will be great since so many people know C more than FORTRAN. However, there were a lot of bugs in the first translation and we wanted to wait until the DoE team worked through a few of them until we upgraded. It seems that we will do this soon, judging by our conversation:

In the meantime, you do not need to downgrade your EnergyPlus. You can install 8.1 and 8.2 side-by-side.

To fix your second issue (if installing the correct E+ does not fix it), make sure that you are connected to the internet the first time that you drag the Honeybee onto the GH canvass.

Awkweird,

1. Back to version of EnergyPlus, I'm thinking to move to EP8.2 this weekend for the development version, and will send a notification so you can give it a try if you like.

2. The issue is related to downloading base files that you need to run Honeybee. Update to the new version of Ladybug and Honeybee and it will work fine.

Thank you for the fast reply both Chris Mackey and Mostapha Sadeghipour Roudsari.

I found something that EnergyPlus v8.1 doesn't available to download.

If am not mistaken, the latest possible version is 8.2 and 8.0.0.008, thus i installed V8.0.0.008 that no good result.

I am so enthusiastic to use Honeybee and Ladybug, and trying to find EP8.1 installation file on google now.

Please let me know when you guys could update it on EP8.2.

Strange! I just updated Honeybee_Honeybee and runEnergySimulation components on github to work with EP8.2- Try the attached file and let me know if it works fine on your system.
