Karamba3D is an interactive, parametric finite element program. It lets you analyze the response of 3-dimensional beam and shell structures under arbitrary loads.

Karamba3D is being developed by Clemens Preisinger in cooperation with Bollinger und Grohmann ZTGmbH in Vienna.

All Karamba3D licenses issued so far work for Karmba3D 1.3.1.

I have updated to Rhino 6.14.19118.. Before this i used karamba3d 1.2.2 in a early version of rhino6. My question is if it is possible to update my student license from Karamba3d 1.2.2 to 1.3.1? the main reason for this is because i want to check KarambaIDEA plugin and it is only available for Karamba 1.3.1

Thank you in advance!

Hi Wilinton, could you please open a new discussion for the topic? There it would be easier to communicate.
You definition is quite large and complex. For debugging try the divide and conquer method: Split up the definition into meaningful parts and test the parts individually.

Best,

Clemens

Hi all. I am modeling a metal cover, but I have designed it separately (beams and belts separately); I've done that because I designed all the coverage together and then I designed it in the sap or etabs program and compared the results and they were very different (I did not have this design ordered, but I did it in a quick way to check, so I did not I upload said file).

My question is how can I get equal results in both grasshopper (karamba) and in Sap or Etabs; what conditions should I take into account to model the entire coverage and what should be considered in the beam-belt nodes (intersection node)?.
IMetal%20Coverage.gh upload my file in grasshopper where I design beam and strap separately, but the visualization is of all coverage. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

Hello,

I am working on branching column fabric formwork system and I have 2 doubts:

1) how can I take the kangaroo solid concrete element to karamba analysis for stress

2) how can I module the branching column line element path in karamba according to the given load

My aim is to optimise the fabric formed vertical system in-terms of reducing the stress and volume and form-finding of this system to the given load and support conditions

Hi all Is it possible to create other cross sections? And if that is possible, how can I do that ?, some reference (book, chapter, ....) Thank you
