algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can apply a triangular distributed load to a shell/beam element?

Thanks,

Halim

Hi Halim,

at the moment (Karamba 1.2.1) the best solution is to approximate the triangular load with small pieces of constant loads.

Best,

Clemens

Hi Clemens,

Thank you.

Hi Halim,

I recommend to input the mesh load on your beams.

You can have a diagonal shape of surface close to your beam. For the mesh size, 0.05 is okay.

Thus, you need to split your line into "line length/0.05" pieces. And then make them beams.

Although it'll be segmented "line loads" from [Mesh Load], the result is 99% correct as the formula.

Hi,

Do you have maybe an example for me?

Best,

Here it is for the simple beam.

Thank you very much.
