Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

When combining Kangaroo and Karamba (video) the supports in Karamba which are also the anchor points in Kangaroo started changing at ramdom times (see example below). This got solved when I recomputed the definition but happens again after a while. What could it be and is there a way to solve it?

Many thanks,

Arthur

this most probably is caused and solved by the following:

for defining the actual points to put into the 'supports' component, use 'fsim' with input 'D' as your points and 'S' as the points that come out from the 'line to beam' component.

this makes sure the point indexing is the very same. this is caused by the logic 'line to beam' works, where duplicate points and lines are removed and therefore the list length changes.

hope this helps

best

Thanks a lot Robert, it is fixed and I have replaced the video.
