algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I have been trying to model pretension elements on Karamba with little success. The only thing I was able to do was applying a uniform post tension load and vary the eccentricity. However, as soon as I change the eccentricity, all the other loads (point loads, uniform line loads) change location as well.
I want to be able to vary the location of the prestress at different locations of the element without changing the location of other loadings.
Hopefully someone would be able to help us out.
Hi Elisa,
May I wonder what do you want to simulate?
Best :)

Ultimately, I would like to model shells with different prestress profiles..If anyone has any experience doing this on Karamba, please let me know!
So far, I was able to get an eccentric uniform prestress to work...
I've been trying to model a pre-stress profile on a beam element using a parabolic function. Something is really odd though, I haven't exactly figured out how to do it. My logic is I should be able to model the element using an "infinite" array of points..and vary both the prestress and eccentricity on karamba at every point...
