Optimize Cross Section - MaxDisp

Can you comment on the method in which the Optimize Cross Section function addresses a MaxDisp target? I am working with concrete shell elements and, even though there are larger cross sections to choose from, the Optimize Cross Section settles on sections that do not satisfy the specified displacement. In same cases the discrepancy is rather large. I have set the DispIter value to be 5000 and still the function does not produce satisfactory results. 

How can I better approach the problem to ensure a better result?

Hi,

maybe you already checked it and this is not helpful at all, but here's what I read in the Karamba manual... perhaps 5000 isn't enough?

I've tried with as many as 100,000 iterations...no luck, unfortunately.
