Minimum deflection using Galapagos vs Analyze large deformation

I was inspired by one question on General discussions section of the forum, about grid shell's form finding. What confused me is the difference between form finding with Galapagos using Minimum deflection as Fitness and karamba's Analyze large deformation component.

What is the difference in these two form finding approaches/methods?
