Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I have a question about the mesh load unit. It seems Karamba only extracts values from Rhino, not the unit. For example, I work with [mm] in Rhino and I have a surface of 1000000[mm^2]. When I assign this surface to the mesh loads component, the area given by Karamba is 1000000[m^2], but it should be 1000000[mm^2]. When I work with [m] in Rhino, the unit in Karamba is correct. I wonder if I have to work with [m] in Rhino to get the unit right in Karamba? Is there any way to control the unit manually in Karamba?

Aslinn

Hi Aslinn,

Karamba3D interprets all geometry input from Rhino to be in meter or feet (in case one uses Imperial Units) irrespective of the units used in Rhino.

At the moment (version 1.3.2) there is no option to change the basic units.

Best,

Clemens
