algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Intersectiom Joints

Hi Guys!

Im trying to find out which dimensions are needed for that construction. At each intersection point I shatterd the Lines and made beams out of it. My question now is, do i need to tell the script that at each intersection the beams are screwed togehter? If so does anybody know how to do that?

Hi Lukas,

you could use short springs to connect the beams of the different layers: choose the translational stiffness very large to come close to a rigid connection, select small values for the bending stiffness (e.g. 0.1 kNm/rad).

Hi Clemens,

i made a test script. But i cant figure it out. Should i use the Spring option of the Cross Sections container or a Beam Joint? I attached the test files.

Could you help me please?

Hi Lukas,

you could use a spring with only translational stiffness.
